The Fiat 500L made in Serbia

Serbia endured its 7th consecutive decrease in car sales. None of them has been massive, but still a disappointing trend for car importers and dealers to cope with. Just over 56,000 cars were sold in 2007, so a figure slightly under 20,000 in 2014 is well short of that.

Local company Zastava was the main brand in Serbia, selling Fiats under licence and also cars under the Yugo brand. It was eventually bought by Fiat and the name changed to Fiat Automobili Srbija, or FAS. It makes the Fiat Punto Classic and Fiat 500L models. Sales for FAS fell heavily in 2014 but Fiat made up for that, which gives the impression that FAS is being brought under the Fiat brand.
