I believe availability and reliability of car stats says much about a country or region. It's hard to get reliable data for Poland with any depth. Sources vary quite a bit and it is hard to compare sales over a period of time. From what I have, sales were down for 2011 about 10%, and 8 of the top 9 makes dropped sales. Skoda is top, the positive of its value for money winning out over the negative of a disjointed range of cars.

1 Skoda 33,250 10.4%
2 Ford 27,075 8.5%
3 Fiat 27,050 8.5%
4 VW 23,250 7.3%
5 Opel 22,950 7.2%
6 Renault 21,700 6.8%
7 Toyota 19,850 6.2%
8 Peugeot 16,300 5.1%
9 Citroen 15,600 4.9%
10 Nissan 15,200 4.8%
11 Hyundai 14,300 4.5%
12 Kia 12,900 4.0%
13 Mercedes 7,800 2.4%
14 Chevrolet 7,660 2.4%
15 Suzuki 7,100 2.2%
16 Mitsubishi 6,850 2.1%
17 Honda 6,800 2.1%
18 Dacia 5,500 1.7%
19 Volvo 4,950 1.5%
20 BMW 4,550 1.4%
Others 19,500 6.1%
Total 320,125
9.7% decrease.

Nissan (+16.3%), Chevrolet Korea (+23.9%), and Dacia (+12.5%) all did well. Fiat (-16.8%), Toyota (-22.9%), Kia (-18.7%), Mitsubishi (-30.5%) and Honda (-37.2%) fell away.

My guess: Sales will be depressed for 2012.
