Car sales were not strong in France, with a 2.1% slide. However, the big news was the way the big three French brands lost market share. If they are letting some of their share go to improve profitability and I assume that is the reason, then that is the right thing to do. Sales figures on paper impress, but you need to be making decent money to invest in future products. Mind you, they still hold over 50% of the market between them.

This was Renault's lowest share of the French market that I know of.

My guess: A continuing depressed market, and French marques to lose a bit more market share.
