The 5,000,000th Volvo made in Ghent, Belgium at the end of 2012 |
Vehicle production has been sliding down since my last report for 1995-2011. It's probably now as low as it will go. There are two main car makers in Volvo and Audi since Ford has gone and one main commercial vehicle brand. It's difficult for high wage nations to attract new investment so future growth of any substance looks unlikely.
