Belarus is a young country, independent from the Soviet Union since 1991. They have about 9.5 million people, so car sales are modest for its size. They did have a 33% increase in car sales though.

European brands are the most successful, although, Japanese, Korean and Chinese brands are very active here. The US has a modest presence. According to Wards Auto, the Geely SC7 car started being assembled from kits near the capital Minsk from early 2013. The model has already made it up to 15th position.
