Renault / Nissan are part of a large car manufacturing firm that also includes Lada. Infiniti comes under Nissan's sphere of operations and Samsung likewise with Renault's. After a slow start, there is an increasing convergence of resources that is now saving the RN Group a great deal of money. There is also a small tie up with Daimler, with a small holding with each other. That is a collaboration with the goal of improving efficiencies and therefore reduce costs.
The RN Group is currently making 8,500,000 vehicles per annum, putting it 4th on the list of the world's biggest car groups. Nissan is the largest selling of the RN alliance, contributing 5.4 million in 2015, Renault 2.8 million and Lada 300,000.
