The last few years have been tough economically here, but things seem to have turned a corner. Sales in Serbia are up 26.3% year on year for the six months. Larger increases such as this can disguise who gained or lost market share. The beauty of the chart below is the percentage under the +/- is for market share movement. It shows where the genuine improvements are.
Clear market leader Škoda has gone from 17.3% of total sales for the year of 2015 to 13.9% so far. Renault was a big winner, going from 5.8 to 8.5% and jumping four places. Hyundai did even better. FAS (previously known as Zastava), a Fiat subsidiary and maker of Fiat cars for some reason is listed separately. Combined, Fiat would be the largest brand in the country.
This was the only country I am aware of in Europe that didn't sell Jaguar cars. A couple have been registered. Is that a sign of a change or just two private imports?
