I'm not sure I get this photo, but it is fascinating and it does feature a Fiat

Fiat production dropped from 2.1 to 2.0% of worldwide volume, so not that much. But in a growing market, that meant dropping from 12th to 15th. Being so reliant on Brazil seemed the problem as that nation has had a mini implosion of sales.

Fiat was once a leading car maker in Europe, but gradually slipped as new models didn't quite measure up to the ones they replaced. Brazil held up well with models designed with that market in mind but Europe was becoming more sophisticated and Fiat didn't meet that as well as it should.

There is now a plan for Fiat to have an 'emotional' and a 'rational' range. The 'emotional' side will be based around the growing 500 range and the 124 Spider sports car made by Mazda. The 'rational' part will be based on a new Panda, Uno and a new compact car.

The 500 range gets into the more premium European taste while the cheap and cheerful 'rational' range will tap into the mainstream budget small car that still sells well in Southern Europe especially.
