A nice little increase in production for 2015, easily a record number. Ferruccio Lamborghini started making super cars in the mid 1960's to challenge the likes of Ferrari. Things went up and down, with various owners came and went. In 1999, VW took over ownership and gave Audi the job of running it. Initially production rose, then plateaued before this recent spike in numbers.
The Huracán is the reason for the success, with two body styles, a coupé and spyder (or roadster or convertible). 70% of production is for this model, with the slightly larger Aventador now only 30%. When the Urus SUV arrives in 2017, the numbers will go to another level.
