The Land Rover Discovery Sport |
The UK is running up huge trade deficits and it looks to the car industry to try rectify that. It particularly fares badly in the trade imbalance with Germany, the largest supplier of cars to Britain. Without being too scientific and detailed, I looked at the volume of production both for cars and engines, unit value per car and R&D. The results of all the top ten brands and below that any contributing to the economy are revealed below.
There are two columns. On the left, the list goes down according to UK sales as far as the top 10, then just relevant brands after that. The right side it is contribution to the economy at the top. Land Rover wins, closely followed by Nissan.
If anyone can add information that could change the rating, please let me know. Questions answered too. Just leave a comment and I will reply as as soon as possible.
