No shortage of admirers for the Continental GT Speed

First up Bentley. From a low point of about 3,600 in 2009, increases have been stellar. However, the booming sales increases levelled off in 2014, with production up 1.4% and deliveries increasing 8.9%. The USA took 3,000 cars and China nearly 2,600. Bentley can expect to sell more cars in 2015 with smaller engines offered and an update for the Continental, but the big news is an SUV in 2016. Named the Bentayga, it will take production to a whole new level.

The sleek Huracán looks like it can hurry.

Now for Lamborghini. A marque that has been nothing if not exclusive, and in some ways it has lived under the shadow of Ferrari. I get the impression that Audi are in the process of changing that. Production was up 25% and sales just under 20%. The new Huracán - which replaced the Gallado - is proving a hit and a Spyder model to be added in 2015. Likewise a new version of the Aventador will arrive.

Summary: These two premium marques within the VW portfolio are going well. With the competition intense even at this end of the market, neither make is resting on its laurels.
