A car on many people's wish list

The chart below is less than what you would call comprehensive, but it does give an idea of vehicle sales in Taiwan. You may not be surprised to know that there is duty on imported cars, so locally manufactured vehicles can compete. Having said that, the industry isn't that large and imports seem quite popular.

Toyota is always top while Mitsubishi and Nissan have fought it out for second for many years. The other local car makers are Ford/Mazda, Honda, Luxgen and Hyundai. Luxgen is a local company owned by the same company that handles Nissan in Taiwan.

and Jaguar are on the up. Even very exclusive
Rolls Royce 40 33%
makes such as Mclaren and Lamborghini are
Aston Martin 35 9%
doing well. Clearly wealthy Taiwanese want
Alfa Romeo 13 550%
to enjoy quality motoring.
