JLR in India assemble the Land Rover Freelander 2, the Jaguar XF and Jaguar XJ. They have now added to that list the Range Rover Evoque. Local assembly reduces import duty so this is the way many car makers have gone. In 2014 2,914 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles were sold in India, the vast majority if not all of which would have come through the Pune plant.
