The light commercial division of VW is quite a successful part of the business. Not many models but some popular ones nevertheless.
1) Transporter/Kombi/Caravelle. The Transporter van in currently in its 5th generation, going back to 1950. The 1990's was series four. The Kombi is either a van or private transport and the Caravelle is a plusher people mover. All very popular.

The Caravelle from 1995 I believe

2) Caddy. This small pick up started in 1980, based on the VW Golf. It could also be a van with a body over the tray. Then in 1995, the Mk II arrived, as a van and made in Spain because the SEAT Inca van was phased out.

The LT Kombi
3) LT. This medium sized van started in 1975 and proved moderately popular.

4) Saveiro. A small pick up based on the Latin American Gol/Voyage.

5) Taro. A rebadged Toyota Hilux. VW got a one-tonne pick up and Toyota got more of that market by using VW. It was eventually moved across to the passenger car side of the data, then finished.

Summary. Production number did grow in this period but not massively so. It's a challenging yet potentially profitable sales area.
