One difficulty with LR sales is that they are sold many countries, some that do not feel access to sales data by the public is necessary or something to bother with. Another is that LRs are in some cases registered as commercial vehicles and those sales are not always easy to find. I have used asterisk signs to show if there is an issue with the figure.
For example, one * means a reasonable estimate, or in the case of Pakistan only Defender sales. Two * means commercial sales are missing but in each case small numbers are involved. Perhaps one day LR will allow greater access to such, if deemed not too commercially sensitive to do so. The largest market not listed here that I am aware of is Taiwan, which had about 450 sales in 2012. I don't have any indicators for 2013, so left that nation off. (PS. I have since heard it may be about 230).

Chian had a relatively quiet year, but still managed to stay well ahead. Despite that, a strong 14.6% increase worldwide was achieved. Half of the nations in the top 40 are in Europe, but with poor sales in that region, there is a sales shift to outside of LR's home continent.
