These two brands have nothing in common except they are owned by Renault. Dacia makes its own budget cars for Europe and Samsung takes advantage of Renault/Nissan models that it sells in Korea.
Dacia sales were up 6% in 2016, with only the Logan suffering a drop in sales. Dacia has carved out a niche in Europe for budget cars than has no real competition. Renault owned Lada sold mainly in Russia is a similar sort of product, but would it make any sense to have them going head to head?

Samsung had sales declines in all but the two new models. Despite that, a 39% increase was enjoyed. The new SM6 is a Renault Talisman, a medium large family car while the QM6 is based on the second generation Renault Koleos SUV.
