The recently facelifted Discovery (LR4)

The marque managed a 14.6% increase over 2012. The new Range Rover was the star performer, with a 64% gain but the Freelander (LR2) also did well considering it isn't getting any younger. The Sport model was replaced late in the year and in December 7,700 were sold. 2014 should see a big improvement in sales for the popular Sport model.

Regionally, it was quite stable. As with Jaguar, it was Europe that was slowest, not that 8% is slow. Many a car maker would happily take it. Asia and the 'other places' did better though. The improvement in North American sales was strong too.

Summary: A good result, showing the improvements Land Rover have been making in recent times. Another successful year coming up for Land Rover in 2014 too, based around the new Sport model. The new Freelander (calling it a Discovery it seems) will be late 2014 so too late to add much. It will upsize too.
