How about trumpeting car sales data in China?
Imports too would be nice

The fourth instalment of how to judge openness and efficiency covers all areas outside of Europe and the Americas. The result is rather sad. So what do we make of the nations in this vast region of humanity?

There are some notable omissions here. China is the biggest market and while you can sniff around and find statistics, there is no consistent official place to get data. All that you do find excludes any imported cars. China is not yet an open and efficient nation.

Have you noticed Australia's non-show? The government agency charged with the job used to put out good basic sales by make, but pulled the plug on that some time ago. You can find some data out there, but it is not an open country. Not good enough cousins. The same could be applied to India and some other places too. Vietnam until recently had data for locally made only, but the web page seems to have gone belly up.

The point is the world at large is not that open nor efficient. Of the ones listed below, well done for taking the effort and being responsible enough to inform the world of some of what happens at your place.
