Three years of increases has the Czech Republic in record territory regarding car sales. 2016's increase was a sizable 12.5%, coming on the back of a 20.7% rise the previous year. There is no prize for guessing local brand Škoda was the top ranked brand, taking 29.5% of the total. Mercedes shot into the top ten with haste and Audi was seemingly unaffected by any scandal.

In the chart below, pale yellow represents a reduction in registrations, pale blue is increase but lost market share. Green is for those exceeding the market growth and finally the salmon colour for those with over 100% increase.
