The Chevrolet Aveo is the best selling car

Hands up everyone who would rather have Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa and Mitsubishi together as one figure as opposed to keeping them separate. Well, of course I cannot see your hands but I would wager that few, if any, would want that. Yet, that is what has been done in Mexico for 2015. I mean, Mitsubishi isn't even part of  FCA, although obviously distributed by a company that has all these brands.

FCA/Mitsubishi had 7.6% of the 2015 market, but 7.9% of 2014. Perhaps more telling 9.1% share in 2013 and 10.3% in 2012. In the same time frame, Nissan has gone from 24.8% in 2012 to 25.7% in 2015. So from 2012 to 2015 Nissan has gained nearly 1% share and FCA/Mit has lost 2.7% of it's share. I will leave it to you as to why FCA is combining figures. I think it's a poor decision and I hope they reconsider.

Overall sales were up 19% in 2015, easily the best ever. Nissan is well ahead, and managed to extend its lead over its two closest rivals. The FCA looks good but they lost share (see above). Hyundai and Kia are new to the country but both seemed to hit the ground running. Renault surprised with a fall in such a positive market. Land Rover are booming elsewhere but not Mexico, which raises questions as to why.
