Sales were up 18.3% in 2016, but that was the second lowest this decade. Apart from last year, you would have to go back to 2005 to see lower registrations. The numbers aren't big either but every market represents what people are buying in that region and for that reason it is always interesting to me.

Dacia took top spot in 2010 from Lada and has held it since. That brand is made next door in Romania so I suppose many there view it as a company they can relate to. Škoda closed the gap this year and Hyundai really went well without improving its ranking. Gaps you can see in the year columns are because I don't have the data for them. You have to scratch around to find it.

In the chart below, pale yellow represents a reduction in registrations, pale blue is increase but lost market share. Green is for those exceeding the market growth and finally the salmon colour for those with over 100% increase.
