The A4 enjoyed a 59% production hike

Going back to 1990 is as far as I can go with Audi, and in that time the A4/80 has been the biggest production model. Well, in the year 2000 the A6 just pipped it but that was a one off. The A3 has been the second to do it and whether it is for a solitary year remains to be seen. A new A4 appears later in 2015.

A 12% increase is a good result for 2014, adding to a series of increases. It is the leading premium marque in Western Europe and China for sales. It's profit margin is just under 10%, slipping half a percent from 2013.

The relatively new A3 made up over half the company's sales increase. It is in green because of growth, with yellow emphasising decrease. Smaller selling models seem to fall into that category.

Summary: Production increase should be muted in 2015, while waiting for the fifth-generation A4 to arrive.  Add the that the Chinese market is reaching its maximum volume so the recent years of strong growth will be impossible to replicate.

The Q3 production was up 32% in 2014
