The new Renault Twingo and sister car smart ForFour are being built here

Two years of 5% growth has put the car market here in a solid position. European brands predominate, although Nissan had a good year and pushed into the top 10. Dacia is taking full advantage of the demise of budget brand Chevrolet, as it jumped to 7th. The Duster model is leading the way for them.

The big news here is that long time number one Renault lost out to VW this year. That was achieved with strength across many models, while Renault relies heavily on the Clio.
