Total sales were up and down in the 1980's. From 35,700 in 1990 it went to 80,000 in 1982. Another low was 1987 with 50,500 but 1989 was up to 85,600. Brands changed places with a regularity rarely seen. Nissan was the only solid performer through the decade. Fiat started on second, fell away to 15th in '84 and back to 3rd by 1989. That sums up the Greek car market of the time.
