In Scotland things are a little different than in the UK combined. GM Vauxhall is the biggest selling make whereas Ford is in the UK as a whole. Renault and Citroën have a stronger presence but Mercedes is less in favour. Sales were up 8% in Scotland, much the same as the 9% national average.

The downside of the list is it's based on a top 30 UK sales and Scotland's data is taken from that. So a brand may be in the top 30 north of the border but not here as it also has to be a UK top 30 to make the cut. Still, that would only affect a make well down the list anyway.
