Hong Kong. Parking anyone?

In this crowded city state, car ownership is not that common. Public transport serves many of it's citizens well. Prestige marques do well here, but not to the same degree as Singapore. Since 2005 every year bar one has increased, 2023 being a record for that period. The sales data below includes taxi registrations, which are almost exclusively Toyota (567), with a few Nissan cars (32) now in 2013 also.

Toyota did grow, but also lost slightly some market share, hence the blue shading. Hyundai gets a special colour as its sales were exactly the same as 2013. Suzuki has been heading up the list over the last three years, while Ford had a year off selling cars in HK in 2011. Renault was a new arrival in 2012.
