I know what that seagull is thinking |
For 2016 Kia was about the same in sales as it was in 2015, down 0.5%. There were no new models to speak of, except the Niro hybrid which had its first 'almost full year'. The big news was the Sportage SUV becoming the top selling Kia for the first time and by some margin. It's not the first time for this sort of vehicle as the Sorento was the biggest selling some years ago. However with the Sorento fourth this year, SUVs are becoming more important for car makers.
With different names around the world used, I tried to get as many on the list so as many as possible can identify with what it is. many models dropped in sales but the two biggest sellers compensated with strong performances.
