Total sales are very similar to 2015, up 2.4% in June and 1.4% YTD. There is talk that this is as good as it gets and the plateau will gradually become a decrease by 2017.

Ford is the strongest selling nameplate, and has been consecutively since 2010. It even manged to widen the gap with the closest brands for the first six months of 2016. Nissan has been steadily improving and has passed Honda into 4th.

Many of the premium brands have lost some market share from their 2016 total. Are Bentley buyers waiting for delivery of their Bentayga? Tesla and Jaguar are two noticeable exceptions in the premium arena, with Jaguar up an impressive 125% in June.
