Toyota leads the way....

The number of cars sold in Vietnam and the number reported by VAMA is very different. It seems that VAMA looks after brands that assemble cars in the nation. Many are not involved with that and are not part of the data release process. China sends many cars there but they are not reported as are numerous other brands. It made me wonder if it was worth reporting what is here. At least it provides an idea of what sells in the country.

I managed to find BMW/Mini combined sales for both years and Audi for 2014. Hopefully this Asian style practice of not including imported cars in sales data will end soon. It is interesting how many car companies do not disclose sales data when not obliged to.

In the list below, the colours for the 14 and 15 rank columns reflect market share gain or not.
