This small European nation was until 1991 part of the former Yugoslavia. Now an independent republic, it makes it way in the world. In 2008, 68,500 cars were sold here, a record for the nation, but the downturn has pushed sales down to 48,600 this year. Still, not a bad result. Renault makes cars here, the only company to do so. It's share is slipping of late, but still holding the lead. There seems no pattern in who went up or down, often the case with smaller car markets.

The first three columns show 2010 to 2012 ranking, the second column in from the right is increase or decrease, and the extreme right shows market share for the major brands.
