In 2008, 68,500 cars were sold here, a record for the nation, but the downturn has pushed sales down to 48,600 this year. Still, not a bad result. Renault makes cars here, the only company to do so. It's share is slipping of late, but still holding the lead. There seems no pattern in who went up or down, often the case with smaller car markets.
