I do like to be beside the seaside...often seen on UK roads too

The UK had a rollicking good year for car sales. No one saw a 10.8% increase coming in depressed European region. With blue showing increase but market share loss, and green increase in both, the larger brands had a very good year. Further down, smaller makes dropped sales, as evidenced by the yellow colouring.

Audi slipped past BMW with Mercedes a distant third. The new Qashqai coming early 2014 should give Nissan a chance to have a crack at moving up the chart. Land Rover is doing well at home and if you add commercial sales, 60,000 units isn't shabby. Dacia burst onto the scene with success, showing that budget brands have a place in mature markets.
