I believe availability and reliability of car stats says much about a country or region. It's hard to get reliable data for Poland with any depth. Sources vary quite a bit and it is hard to compare sales over a period of time. From what I have, sales were down for 2011 about 10%, and 8 of the top 9 makes dropped sales. Skoda is top, the positive of its value for money winning out over the negative of a disjointed range of cars.

Nissan (+16.3%), Chevrolet Korea (+23.9%), and Dacia (+12.5%) all did well. Fiat (-16.8%), Toyota (-22.9%), Kia (-18.7%), Mitsubishi (-30.5%) and Honda (-37.2%) fell away.
My guess: Sales will be depressed for 2012.

Car/LCV Sales Poland: 2011

Fiat used to be the top brand in Poland, but a few years ago Skoda made that position its own. It is slowly consolidating that position for itself while Fiat slips back. VW jumped 2 places, and Toyota three after a poor couple of years. Ford was a big loser as it focuses (no pun) on profit over volume. The Korean brand did well, as did Renault's low cost Romanian brand Dacia. Mitsubishi is retrenching throughout Europe with another poor showing here, as with VW's Spanish division Seat. Not good for French marques either. Overall a small 2.5% decrease for the total market good in these tight times.
Below the first two columns show 2011 and 2012 ranking, the second column in from the right is increase or decrease, and the extreme right shows market share for the major brands.

Car Sales Poland: 2012

When I first put the colours on this list I thought, no I will have to try highlight something else. It is like a Rasta's head covering. Bu then I thought, well, this proves the Polish car market is very diverse so why not?
The VW Group has 20% of the total listed here and the Renault/Nissan Alliance which includes Dacia has nearly the same, so they are both popular colours. However, they are scattered, which creates the visual kaleidoscope. The top three all lost sales, but the Yaris and ever popular Qashqai are making up ground on them.
