Škoda has been slowly improving its image and sales over the years. That said, I have to say that it isn't as successful as I thought it may be by now. There are many areas of the world that the brand is not sold in. It relies mainly on Europe and China. For some reason Škoda didn't grow in China despite sales going up overall. It shows the challenge car makers have in a congested market.
The new Rapid hit the road and the new Citigo also did well. As for the rest, it wasn't a great year. With worldwide car sales on the up, reduced production surprised. Will 2014 be better? VW has a goal for Škoda of 1.5 million cars by 2018.
